Proses pengiriman berlangsung selama 1-3 hari kerja untuk area Jabodetabek dan Surabaya. Tyrepac saat ini juga tidak mengenakan biaya pengiriman hingga 20 kota di Indonesia.

Tyrepac hanya menjual ban saja. Untuk tarif jasa bongkar pasang dapat dilihat di website dan dibayarkan pelanggan secara langsung kepada bengkel rekanan. Saat ini Tyrepac memiliki lebih dari 100 bengkel rekanan yang tersebar di 10 kota di Indonesia. Case 6_Vent Holes/ Spills and Flash Cure

You would frequently notice these after-product of the manufacturing process.

These after-product do not serve any specific purpose beyond manufacturing. But it has a crucial function of allowing air trapped in the "curing" process to escape, so that the intricate designs on the tyres can be formed.

Often, the tyres would be trimmed to minimize these after production flash or "hair", but if you do notice any- no cause for alarm.

Case 5_Separation

This is a case of separation of a tyre. In this instance, the tyre tread has separated from its casing/ or carcass- resulting in a bulge.

When this happens, there are a variety of issues that will arise:
- Tyre usually s...tarts vibrating, sometimes violently
- The noise generated can become unbearable- "whooping noise"
- May have difficulty controlling the steering wheel

Variety of reasons this could happen:
- Puncture, water vapour seepage (no claim)
- Impact resulting in internal fracture, breakage of wire or layers (no claim)
- "Heat separation", breakdown of bondage between layers (Case by case basis- claimable)

Separation failure may not surface overnight. One of the common situation is when motorist run over objects on the road, and causes internal fracture within the tyre. Over time, water vapour gets into the layers, causing a breakdown in the bonded layers. Kind of like why a wet pair of shoes left in the cabinet, unworn for prolong period, often have the soles come off when worn again.

Case 4_ Rupture Shoulder/ Shoulder Joint
This is a case of a ruptured shoulder joint area. As mentioned in the previous post, the sidewall/ shoulder area is very weak, and kerbing or sidewall impact may rupture or tear it.

We have seen cases of cars running over objects on the highway, or simply a bad kerbing resulting in such situation.

Not a manufacturing defect.

Case 3_Puncture shoulder

This puncture occurred at an area known as the "shoulder"- which is the joint between the tyre "sidewall" and "tread". No warranty since it is again, not a manufacturing defect. FYI, any incident of a foreign object impact/ penetrate/ puncture/ fracture of the tyre will render the tyre out of warranty scope.

If you ever encounter a puncture on the sidewall of the tyre, and especially on the shoulder of your tyre, please do not attempt to repair it. The sidewall is the weaker part of a tyre, and the shoulder is the "achilles heel" of a tyre.

Note: If you ever spot a nail in your tyre, do not remove it. Doing so would stop the natural plug of the nail, resulting in immediate leakage from the puncture.

Case 2- Puncture_ run flat

 Not a manufacturing defect, since it was a puncture, and especially if it is a run flat from a puncture.

Running flat is a situation where the tyre is not inflated/ or inadequately inflated, an...
d the motorist continued driving.

Commonly, it is when the motorist did not realize that the tyre is punctured and is so low in air, that the rim/ wheel is running or cutting over the tyres. In these circumstances, the abrasion into the tyre, results in a collection of "tyre dust" when the tyre is removed from the wheel.

In extreme cases, the wheel would cut through the tyre- that's when you see those tyre with no sidewall lying by the road.

Warranty of tyres...what is covered, and what is not? Follow the next couple of posts, and we will showcase some real encounters and explain in layman terms if they are in fact manufacturing defects. But more importantly, it is great learning experience.

CASE 1- Puncture
One of the most common issue faced by motorists for their tyre. And for a start, the moment there is a puncture, or a puncture related defect, it is not covered by warranty.

In this particular case, the embedded nail had its tapered top worn off, and it was hard to spot. The driver continued driving not knowing there was an embedded nail. In this particular case also, the air leak was possibly very slow, and it resulted in "seepage" of air and water vapour into the various plies in the tyre. Ultimately, the various layers separated, resulting in bulging of the tyre.

Drivers in such cases usually notice the problem too late, when the car starts vibrating (sometimes violently), or when the tyre concerned starts producing loud "flapping" noise.
